We understand that personal care is one of the more intimate and basic functions of people’s lives. Services are provided with the utmost respect and privacy for our clients. We also understand that illness and infirmity contribute to being more vulnerable. With that in mind, we ensure Care Partners follow a defined plan of care and follow those plans to ensure clients are safe and free from harm. Compassion, tenderness and loving attention to details for our clients is the standard for our Care Team
Overnight Care – Continuous Care or In-Home On-Call
A unique offering of ours is an Overnight On-call Shift. Care Partners provide service for two hours upon arrival at the home, perhaps to prepare a meal, give medication reminders, and assist with preparations for bedtime. The client has an 8 hour period of sleep, as does the Care Partner. The Care Partner is on-call to attend to any needs the client has overnight – take medications, safely assist to the bathroom, etc. The Care Partner also provides two hours of service in the morning to assist the client with their morning routine, such as bathing, breakfast, medication reminders, etc. This type of overnight shift can be very valuable in meeting the majority of client overnight needs. This 12-hour shift is cost effective in that only 10 hours of service are charged if the Care Partner is not called to assist more than two brief periods during the sleep period. Overnight wake shifts are also available which offer 12 hours of continuous assistance by our Care Partner for care throughout the night.Dementia Care
We recognize the journey of care giving is a difficult one, especially with the challenges dementia brings. Our Care Team will partner in the development of a plan of care for meeting individualized client needs, as well as provide support for care giving family members. Our Care Partners receive dementia training through the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as receiving on-going training and education throughout the year.Caregiver Relief
We understand the stress, both emotionally and physically, that takes a toll on caregivers. Fatigue, frustration, guilt and anger are frequently experienced by caregivers along this challenging journey. We are glad to partner in providing support for the caregiver in time away from daily responsibilities. This may be a regularly scheduled time for a Care Partner to provide relief or it may be on an as needed basis for a weekend or to cover a specified period of time. Caregiver relief provides a support system for time away, encouragement and resources.Hospice Support
Home care services are a frequent compliment to hospice care. While hospice provides skilled nursing and home health aide visits each week for a few hours, our Care Partners come alongside to give additional support during intensive care giving needs – both during the day and overnight, as the level of care need increases. We work together with hospice services to provide continuity of care.
