Categories covered include: Aging Well, Caregiving, Community, Financial, Housing and Legal.

The Aging Well category covers subjects ranging from: Health Screenings and Medical Concerns to Mind and Body and Prevention.

Caregiving subjects available include: Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Caregiver Basics, Resources to Help and Taking Care of Yourself.

The Community category includes Community Based Services, Recreation and Learning and Community Best Practices and State Plans.

The site allows for searching by topic and location. It also provides a helpful link to www.disabilitynavigator.org – another free on-line resource of interest to the Fredericksburg region.

SeniorNavigator is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free information about the health and aging resources available to Virginians. The information focuses on issues such as health, financial concerns, legal questions, health facilities, housing options, transportation, exercise programs, advocacy, and more.

The information is organized and allows you to search using your city/county or ZIP code. This search identifies those resources available in your community.

In addition to the website, SeniorNavigator is pleased to partner with our Navigator Centers throughout the state. These Centers voluntarily provide free access and assistance with the website to our friends and neighbors without computers or internet access.
